Woodruff Installs Precision Cutting Capabilities for Plastic Containers

Richmond, Indiana – Woodruff Corporation, the leading manufacturer of reusable, recyclable plastic shipping containers, point of purchase displays and retail packaging, is pleased to announce the addition of precision cutting capabilities to its Richmond, Indiana production facility. Woodruff is a division of Primex Plastics, also headquartered in Richmond.

DSC_5330Woodruff has created a separate facility within their plant centered on the Wardjet-2543 Pure Water & Abrasive Waterjet machine which features linear positional accuracy of +/- 0.08mm (0.003″) per axis, 5-axis cutting, drilling and tapping in a wide variety of materials.

According to Woodruff General Manager Doug Borgsdorf, “We are making a substantial investment in equipment and personnel in order to provide this new service for our customers. This will allow more capabilities and faster service for our complete packaging solutions.”
