Primex Color, Compounding & Additives (PCC&A), formerly O’Neil Color & Compounding, a leading supplier of color and polymer solutions for plastics processors, has published a document specifying its line of technical services and solutions. Since its beginnings in 1957 as the Frank V. O’Neil Color Company, PCC&A has been more than just about supplying quality products to the plastics industry. They’ve been a trusted partner in the development, production and marketing of polymer solutions.

PCC&A employs 20 researchers, scientists and technicians with over 100 combined years in color and specialty compounds. By engaging customers during early stage development they’re able to identify both challenges and opportunities before they become complications. Through collaboration with customers, they brainstorm solutions and recommend the most effective and efficient course of action to ensure product success.

In 2014 PCC&A’s parent company, Primex Plastics, opened the John J. Farber Technology and Innovation Center in central Indiana. Through chemical and mechanical analysis, large and small-scale pilot lines, and in-house thermoforming capabilities, PCC&A can handle a broad range of requests and very specific requirements. The Farber Center is an accredited facility for mechanical testing under A2LA Certificate Number 4071.01.

According to Product Manager Lee Pfaffle, “by leveraging the total solutions of the Primex Plastics “OneCompany” venture, we can control the complete supply chain, from pellet to shipment to recycling, thus providing quality control, warehousing and distribution from our six U.S. and one European facility. As part of the $600 million Primex family of companies, our vast R&D, production and sales network provides nationwide assistance to our customers as Primex continues to invest in new technology, new personnel and new processes.”
